At PFX we are changing the face of fitness and sports medicine. No longer will you be just another number. We care about you and your health! Our professionals are here to ensure that your needs are met. Every member receives a fitness evaluation, customized workout and can schedule quarterly follow-up visits. Floor trainers circulate to monitor progress and answer questions. The variety of services we offer provides a fitness option for every personality.
 
At PFX every detail is attended to. From our fully stocked locker rooms to our delightful selections at our juice bar, we have everything you need to make your fitness experience an enjoyable one.

About the Founders
In 2001, PFX was started by Larysa and Steven DiDio. Their mission and inspiration is to provide a fitness environment like no other! Customer satisfaction is their forte which is why they have the highest member retention in the industry. With a combined 30+ years of experience in sports medicine and fitness, Steven and Larysa provide experience unparalleled. Safe, effective and fun for all levels and abilities it’s no wonder why PFX is known as “the real fountain of youth”.

Steven DiDio

Steven DiDio, MS, ATC, CSCS has been a nationally certified, licensed Athletic Trainer for 15 years. He has worked with all types of athletes ranging from NCAA Division I to professionals and olympians. His coverage of medical sports has included Nike “Hoop it Up” tournaments, Ultimate Frisbee, Pro Beach Volleyball, Boxing and most recently at local, Westchester schools. Steven is also responsible for the current athletic training program used at SUNY Purchase. Now, he puts his cutting edge techniques to use helping the everyday athlete, the “weekend warrior”, and special populations stay healthy at his facility, PFX, located in Pleasantville. His passion is working with adolescents and teaching them sport safety/conditioning.

Larysa DiDio

Larysa DiDio parlayed a successful personal training business in New York City into an entrepreneur’s dream – her own cutting-edge gym, serving much of the same clientele - where they live in the Westchester suburbs, as opposed to where they work, in Manhattan. Her own personal fitness domain has included a local daily TV program, quotes and appearances in national women’s magazines such as In Style, For Your Health and First For Women, several appearances on “Good Day New York”, starring in two workout videos produced by Redbook and making it to the finals of the 1999 ESPN Miss Fitness contest. Currently, Larysa’s focus is on getting area girls strong and fit.

Sports Medicine
Do you have any aches or pains? Do you need to get stronger before or after surgery? Our Certified Licensed Athletic Trainer can help! With our strong background in sports medicine members benefit by utilizing us as a resource to gain knowledge about an injury. Certified Athletic Trainers are healthcare providers specialized in the prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of the physically active. Athletic trainers are nationally certified, licensed and recognized by the American Medical Association as an allied healthcare provider. Athletic training intervention significantly reduces loss of time and re-injury rates.
 
Our personalized care philosophy is extended to our Sports Therapy sessions. All appointments are private and last a full hour. Imagine being treated by one of the industry’s leading ATCs, in the convenience of your own gym. Benefit from a comprehensive evaluation where no aspect of your injury is missed. Physical Therapy
At PFX, our group of Physical Therapists have over 18 years of experience. We treat all musculoskeletal dysfunctions from pre/post issues to pain management. We thoroughly evaluate and then treat the patient utilizing manual (hands on) techniques such as deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, stretching, modalities (moist heat/cold packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound) and exercise.
 
We take ALL major insurances, including Medicare.

What is Pilates? An innovative system of mind-body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates.

Massage
Enjoy a therapeutic massage in our calming massage room. Our certified massage therapists are available to help you relax, heal an injury or rejuvenate your tired muscles. We offer 5 different types of massage that can be booked for half and full hour increments.

Group Fitness

Boot Camp

A whirlwind of exercises designed to keep you interested, motivated and coming back for more!

Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a martial art and a meditative exercise. It can foster a tranquil mind and improves balance, coordination and fine-scale motor control. Practicing Tai Chi can also strengthen bones, ligaments, tendons, as well as help corrects poor postural, alignment which can contribute to tension or injury.

Total Body
A great class where you’ll circuit, over-load and have lots of fun while sculpting your entire body.

Vinyasu Flow Yoga
Experience this beginner/intermediate yoga program that is as fun as it is spiritually fulfilling.

Ultimate Body
